I hadn't been to the movies for a while and the ad's in the newspaper certainly indicated great things. Funny, smart, best... were some of the remarks. Even Ebert and Roeper gave it two thumbs up. And it was an enjoyable movie. Not great but enjoyable. I thought the movie had so much more potential than what came out, especially with two heavy duty actors like Ford and Hartnett. Two cops, one wanting to be something else, the other needing a second job. The screenplay is actually quite good. And to be sure the movie has its funny moments. One scene with Ford on a bicycle had the whole theatre in stitches, but it was one of a few. The rest of the movie seemed to drag. And while a number of critics liked it, the Yahoo people rating currently only stands at 2.85 [of 5] stars. So it appears that my feelings are supported by others, who have liked the movie, but felt a little disappointed. No nudity, some sexuality, but not much bad language.

Storyline From Yahoo: Two LAPD homicide detectives who moonlight in other fields, Joe Gavilian (Ford) (a real estate agent) and K.C. Calden (Hartnett) (a yoga instructor and wannabe actor), investigate the slaying of a rap group on stage that is possibly orchestrated by Sartain (Washington), a notorious rap label boss who is rumored to have arranged the death of rap artists in the past who wanted to get out of their contracts, and whose head of security is himself a former LAPD officer.
