This is a movie everyone should see, but will not likely not be seen by many. The story will have you trying to decide just how much should a person sacrifice. No doubt many throughout history have paid much to follow their belief in something. But here we wonder, once you have made a commitment to one cause, should you take on another that conflicts with the first. You're wondering what am I talking about. Well view the video and find out. Roger Ebert puts it this way: "That she struck a great blow against the Irish drug traffic is without doubt, but perhaps she could have done so and still survived to raise her son." Cate Blanchett is excellently cast as Guerin. The director points out that Blanchett was Plan A and there was no Plan B. This movie didn't do great in the theatres, probably because most movie goers go for entertainment, not to come out angry. Still I think the movie merits viewing as a reminder of the darker side of society, and that often, great sacrifices have to be made to correct things.
