This was a great movie by all accounts. Jamie Foxx's portrayal Of Ray Charles was just phenomenal. Although I usually give a quote from Roger Ebert, I thought this quote by the Boston Globe's, Ty Burr said it best: "...it never once crosses your mind that you're watching an actor play Ray Charles." But the movie is not all fun. There are hard parts dealing with his personal life, and my guess is the film has down played somewhat his personal problems with drugs and relationships. He was a brilliant man. How true the whole thing is I can't say, but it certainly gives one an insight to his life. Recommended for all but very small children.
