For some reason some critics didn't warm to this movie like some other recent animations, but we loved it. It was a kids movie and if adults want to see it, they should leave their adultness at home. Unlike some of the general rated movies these days there was no adult humour interwoven into it. It was about the magic of Santa Claus and lots of adults seem to have lost that magic. As a CGI (Computer Generated Images) movie, it is well made and true to the look of the pictures in the book [So Kyra, who has read it, tells me]. Roger Ebert, who actually gave it an 'A' rating, gives it credit by saying: "There's a deeper, shivery tone, instead of the mindless jolliness of the usual Christmas movie." In the end there are some good lessons. One of them is that we must believe, and we should, not only in Santa Claus, but especially in the Christ child whose birth we celebrate this season and is the real reason for it. This is a movie for everyone and should be enjoyed on the big screen!

Storyline From Yahoo: Believing in Santa Claus isn't easy when all of your friends and family insist he's just make-believe. A boy's faith is rewarded one Christmas Eve when he's awakened by a steam train that pulls up in front of his house and takes him and other children to the North Pole to meet Santa. It's all CGI (Computer Generated Images), based upon live-action motion-capture actors.
