Fever Pitch is a fairly tale. And it gives us a great insight to how fanatic Boston Red Sox fans act. The story line is all too common, girl meets unlikely boy, sees through outside and likes what's inside, then the love cools for some reason, finally to be rekindled when both realize what they had together. And how can we not like Drew Barrymore in this role and Roger Ebert tells us why: "Drew Barrymore is perfectly cast, in part because in real life, as in the movie, she's not only adorable but also a high-powered businesswoman." So it was a nice bit of entertainment. Not exactly a family movie, rated PG-13 for crude and sexual humor, and some sensuality.
