I'm not sure why but this movie, although it had nothing overly special, touched my heart. And when that happens you know it's a good movie. Perhaps Roger Ebert has the formula when he says: "In Her Shoes starts out with the materials of an ordinary movie and becomes a rather special one." It's a good look into reconciling relationships. Well acted by Cameron Diaz, Toni Collette, and Shirley MacLaine, it has a lot of character. A good movie for both guys and gals. It carries a PG rating for thematic material, language and some sexual content, but at no time is it offensive. You could take younger children, but they probably wouldn't understand all the intricacies. We liked it very much. Good enough to make the year's top ten list.
