Glory Road [2006]
At first I thought, just another movie about an underdog team that, for whatever motivation, makes it big.  But as the movie developed I got more caught up and in the end I was fully into it.  I can honestly say the sound track has so much to do with that.   The reason this movie draws you in is in part  explained by Roger Ebert's comment:  "...the movie is not really about underdogs and winning the big game. It's about racism in American sports.."  The movie is well acted, has humour and tears.   There are some mature scenes so may not be suitable or enjoyable by very young children, but other than that, it's worth the see.  It's our first movie make the top 10 list of 2006.

Storyline From Yahoo:  The inspiring true story of the underdog Texas Western basketball team, with history's first all African American starting lineup of players, who took the country by storm, surprisingly winning the 1966 NCAA tournament title. Josh Lucas stars as Hall of Famer Don Haskins, the passionately dedicated college basketball coach that changed the history of basketball with his team's victory in this time of innocence.
