A History Of Violence [2005]
Judy
Just didn't like this movie although there were good preformances.
A League Of Extraordinary Gentlemen (2003)
A Lot Like Love [2005]
It's a love story but not even Ashton Kutcher and Amanda Peet could make this a good movie.
A Man Apart (2003)
About Schmidt (2002)
...it has a number of themes that will touch us all at some time in our lives.
Aeon Flux [2004]
Fun to watch if you recognize it's fiction and comic book.
After The Sunset (2004)
...just a good mindless bit of entertainment, but it has a twist at the end that gives it additional fun.
Against The Ropes [2004]
From our perspective the movie is a good nights entertainment.
Alamo, The (2004)
The story of the Alamo will have to go down as one of the most re-done movies in history. We recommend it.
Alexander (2004)
Alfie (2004)
All About The Benjamins [2002]
Along Came Polly [2004]
Some of the humour is quite gross, bordering on offensive.
Amazing Grace (2007)
The story of William Wilberforce who led efforts to end the slave trade in the British empire is worth seeing.
American Gangster (2007)
Based on a true story of Frank Lucas and gives a stark insight to the drug scene in Harlem in the 60's.
Amelie [2001]
And Now Ladies and Gentlemen [2003]
Antwone Fisher [2002]
...highly emotional story of a young man, who in spite of adversity, rises up in triumph.
Apocalypto (2006)
Has merit in depicting the demise of the Mayan civilization. It's completely subtitled.
Aquamarine [2006]
OK for younger children, but a little simplistic for adults.
Ararat [2002]
this is a serious movie and deals with some hard subject matter.
Around The World In 80 Days [2004]
It was at best, marginal.
Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford (2007)
Slow and tedious and I don't like Casey Affleck.
Assassination Tango [2003]
Robert Duval wrote, directed, produced, and starred in this movie. He should stick to acting.
Astronaut Farmer [2007]
This is more or less sci-fi, but it's a good story with a happy ending.
Atonement (2007)
Sad but a good movie none the less. Worth a look.
August Rush (2007)
It's a fairy tale.
Australia [2008]
A good movie in the genre of a love story woven into an historical event. Definitely worth a see.
Aviator [2004]
Too long disjointed and ends abruptly. Cate Blanchett is great in her role as Katherine Hepburn
Away From Her (2007)
About Altzheimer disease and how an older couple had to deal with one partner going into a home.
Baby Mama [2008]
Before Tina Fey became famous as Sarah Palin on SNL, she did this movie. Nothing deep, just fun.
Bad Company [2002]
... it is a good movie. It's funny at times, great action, and the script is actually good.
Ballistic - Ecks vs Sever [2002]
Banger Sisters, The [2002]
Bank Job (2008)
Had a good story and is reasonably well acted. Has an R rating and probably not for young kids.
Be Cool [2005]
[Had its funny moments, but nothing else]
Becoming Jane (2007)
This movie follows the story of Jane Austin before she became a world famous author.
Before Sunset 2004]

Belly of the Beast [2004]
Seagal in a not so good 'B' Kung Fu movie.
Bend It Like Beckham [2003]
Beowulf and Grendel [2006]
To its credit the movie has it's good lessons and moral issues.
Blood Work [2002]
Blue Crush [2002]
I liked the movie, it was fun with a bit of realism tucked in.
Bourne Identity, The [2002]
The Bourne Identity is a fast paced thriller that works in every way.
Bourne Supremacy [2004]
We really liked the first offering of the Jason Bourne story, and this was as good and maybe better.
Bourne Ultimatum (2007)
A great third offering in this series. Fast pace and great action. See the first two if you can
Bowling For Columbine [2002]
Brave One, The (2007)
Jodi Foster is sensational in this movie. Worth a see for sure.
Breach [2007]
A decent action movie.
Brother Bear [2003]
Well this was by all accounts a very enjoyable movie and suitable for the whole family.
Brotherhood of the Wolf [2001]
Here's a movie that keeps you in suspense right to the end.
Brothers Grimm, The
Don't take children under 13 to this movie. Better yet, don't take yourself.
The Bucket List (2008)
This is a great movie with a great message. Morgan Freeman and Jack Nicholson are very good.
Catch Me If You Can
It's a good movie, it's not great.
Cellular
This is one of those movies that sort of stretches the plausible, but it is good enough that we don't mind.
Changing Lanes
It's a good rental and has a few good lessons about relationships and how we should treat people.
Charlie's Angels Full Throttle
... relies heavily on the star power of the 3 main characters, 4 if you add Demi Moore
Charlie Wilson's War (2008)
Apparently not very historically correct, but a fun movie to watch.
Cheaper By The Dozen 2 [2005]
Following up on the original movie this one hasn't got the same appeal or depth of story.
Choosing Matthias
it's a warm movie with a warm ending ... the whole family can enjoy this one.
Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian (2008)
Very good movie. Just didn't have the same charisma of the first one.
Chronicles Of Riddick
... and we have people who can zip around the galaxy, dressed as old time Roman soldiers wielding axes.
Cleaner (2007)
Typical Samuel L. Jackson flick. Worth a rental.
Client, The
Susan Sarandon and Tommy Lee Jones make this a great movie to watch.
Collateral Damage
For me this was mostly collateral crap, but if you are an Arnie fan...
The Contract (2007)
Not Morgan Freeman's best but a decent thriller along with John Cusak. Worth a rental for sure.
Crush
Curse of the Golden Flower (2006)
This is a Japanese movie with English subtitles. If that doesn't bother you, it's worth a see.
Daddy's Little Girls [2007]
This is a feel good movie mostly about preserving what is important.
Dan In Real Life
This is a must see movie by everyone. What else needs to be said
Daredevil
Dark Blue [2003]
A dark movie that shows why balance is so necessary between the two ends of the justice spectrum.
Dark Knight (2008)
A very intense movie. Kicks up the Batman series of movies, but definitely not for younger children.
Dear Frankie (2007)
Raises some questions about whether lying is justified under any circumstances.
Death of a President (2006)
A docu-drama that is thought provoking but a little tedious.
Death Race [2008]
A very intense movie with non stop action. A little graphic in violence but typical for this type of movie.
Definitely Maybe (2008)
One of the most heart warming movies I've seen in a long time.
Derailed (2005)
Nothing new in the upstanding citizen is forced to be bad to get justice genre.
Double Jeopardy
Great thriller movie. Ashley Judd is awesome.
Down With Love
Just too silly to be good.
Drum Line
Given high ratings by a lot of critics, I found this movie less than inspiring...
