A History Of Violence [2005]
Judy Just didn't like this movie although there were good performances.
A League Of Extraordinary Gentlemen (2003)
A Lot Like Love [2005]
It's a love story but not even Ashton Kutcher and Amanda Peet could make this a good movie.
A Man Apart (2003)
About Schmidt (2002)

...it has a number of themes that will touch us all at some time in our lives.
According To Greta [2008] A movie with lots of good lessons for everyone, young or old.
Adjustment Bureau, The (2011) Pretty good movie to show real love overcomes great odds.
Adventures of Tin Tin [2011] An animated movie but really fun. We recommend this one.
Aeon Flux [2004]

Fun to watch if you recognize it's fiction and comic book.
After The Sunset (2004)

...just a good mindless bit of entertainment, but it has a twist at the end that gives it additional fun.
Against The Ropes [2004]

From our perspective the movie is a good nights entertainment.
Alamo, The (2004)

The story of the Alamo will have to go down as one of the most re-done movies in history. We recommend it.
Alexander (2004)
Alfie (2004)
All About The Benjamins [2002]
Along Came Polly [2004]
Some of the humour is quite gross, bordering on offensive.
Amazing Grace (2007) The story of William Wilberforce who led efforts to end the slave trade in the British empire is worth seeing.
American,The [2010] Slow to start, but picks up enough to be an OK movie.
American Gangster (2007) Based on a true story of Frank Lucas and gives a stark insight to the drug scene in Harlem in the 60's.
Amelia [2009] The story of Amelia Earhart. I little to slow and unexciting to be good, but worth seeing for the story.
Amelie [2001] Unmemorable
Angels and Demons (2009) An entertaining movie. Tom Hanks seems to have a lot of hair suddenly.
And Now Ladies and Gentlemen [2003]
Antwone Fisher [2002]
...highly emotional story of a young man, who in spite of adversity, rises up in triumph.
Apocalypto (2006) Has merit in depicting the demise of the Mayan civilization. It's completely subtitled.
Aquamarine [2006]
OK for younger children, but a little simplistic for adults.
Ararat [2002]

this is a serious movie and deals with some hard subject matter.
Around The World In 80 Days [2004]
It was at best, marginal.
Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford (2007) Slow and tedious and I don't like Casey Affleck.
Assassination Tango [2003] Robert Duvall wrote, directed, produced, and starred in this movie. He should stick to acting.
Astronaut Farmer [2007] This is more or less sci-fi, but it's a good story with a happy ending.
Atonement (2007) Sad but a good movie none the less. Worth a look.
August Rush (2007) It's a fairy tale.
Australia [2008] A good movie in the genre of a love story woven into an historical event. Definitely worth a see.
Avatar (2009) A big wow for the cinematography. Overall we really liked it.
Aviator [2004]
Too long disjointed and ends abruptly. Cate Blanchett is great in her role as Katherine Hepburn
Away From Her (2007) About Alzheimer disease and how an older couple had to deal with one partner going into a home.
